Abstract:A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of a patient with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)com-plicated by hemophilia A who underwent transurethral thulium laser enucleation of the prostate.During the periopera-tive period, exogenous coagulation factor Ⅷ(FⅧ)replacement therapy was administered. The surgery was per-formed smoothly with minimal blood loss.Bladder irrigation was discontinued on the second postoperative day,and the urinary catheter was removed on the third postoperative day.The patient experienced smooth urination, with slightly reddish urine. No blood transfusion was required during the perioperative period, and there were no significant adverse events such as bleeding or thrombosis. This case suggests that under perioperative exogenous FⅧ replace-ment therapy, transurethral thulium laser enucleation of the prostate in patients with BPH complicated by hemophilia A is a relatively safe and effective surgical approach, with certain clinical reference value.
