Abstract:Numerous auxiliary technologies with significant clinical value emerged with the improvement of soft-ware and hardware level in image guided radiotherapy(IGRT)for prostate cancer(PCa).The image matching and calibration based on the gold fiducial marker(GFM)in the these ancillary technology had improved the accuracy of target location in PCa IGRT.It enabled patients to achieve higher treatment gains. The distance between the prostate and the anterior wall of the rectum was increased by hydrogel injection, reducing rectal toxicity. The identification ac-curacy of GFM on MRI was high, which could meet the requirement of CT-MRI image fusion and PCa IGRT based only on MRI.The evaluation of hydrogel injection on MRI was relatively comprehensive, which could ensure the pro-tective effect of hydrogel on rectum. The application of MRI was of great significance in improving radiotherapy effica-cy and patient quality of life.Making it a focus of research in PCa IGRT.
