Abstract:Objective:This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic value of multilayer spiral CT urography(MSCTU)withdifferent doses in ureteral calculi. Methods:The clinical data of 91 patients with ureteral calculi diag-nosed in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients received low-dose and conventional-dose MSCTU diagnosis, and the diagnostic efficacy of low-dose and conventional-dose MSCTU for the ureteral stoneswas analyzed using surgical pathology as the gold standard, and the image quality and scanning parame-ters of low-dose and conventional-dose MSCTU were analyzed. Results:The accuracy, sensitivity and missed rate of low-dose MSCTU for the diagnosis of ureteral stones were 95.60%(87/91),95.60%(87/91)and 4.40%(4/91),respectively,and the accuracy, sensitivity and missed rate of conventional-dose MSCTU for the diagnosis of ureteral stones were 97.82%(89/91),97.82%(89/91)and 2.20%(2/91),therewas no statistically significant difference be-tween thetwogroups(χ2=0.689,0.689,0.689,P=0.406,0.406,0.406,P>0.05);the excellent image quality rates of low-dose and conventional-dose MSCTU for the diagnosis of ureteral stones were 87.91%(80/91)and 93.41%(85/91),respectively.There were no statistically significant between the two groups(χ2=1.622,P=0.203,P>0.05);the CT dose index,CT radiation dose and dose length[(34.38±6.18)mGy,(20.46±4.87)mGy and(42.34±8.92)mGy-cm]of the low-dose MSCTU scan were smaller than those of the conventional-dose MSCTU scans[(39.65±7.69)mGy,(29.68±5.24)mGy and(75.39±10.26)mGy-cm],with statistically significant differences between the two groups(t=5.096,12.295,23.190,P=0.000,0.000,0.000,P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical val-ue of low-dose MSCTU in the diagnosis of ureteral stones is excellent, with good diagnostic efficacy and image quali-ty,and it can effectively reduce the impact of CT radiation on the human body.
