Abstract:Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of ureteroscope holmium laser lithotripsy on different com-ponents of stones. Methods:A total of 175 patients who underwent holmium laser lithotripsy with ureteroscope in our hospital from January 2022 to July 2023 were retrospectively analysed,58 cases were divided into soft stone group and 117 case were divided into hard stone group according to the main components of stones.Surgical effective-ness,operative time, postoperative hospitalization stay, rate of secondary operation, and preoperative and postopera-tive visual analogue score(VAS),and postoperative 1-month complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results:The soft stone group had more effective surgical operation[84.48%(49/58)vs.57.26%(67/117)],shorter operative time[(73.86±11.57)min vs.(96.65±16.89)min],shorter postoperative hospital stay[(4.34±1.71)d vs.(8.56±1.87)d],lower rate of secondary surgery[10.34%(6/58)vs.35.04%(41/117)],and lower postoperative 1-month complication rate[6.90%(4/58)vs.17.95%(21/117)]than those of the hard stone group, and the differences were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ureteroscope holmium laser lithotripsy is more effective on patients with soft stones, which shows excellent surgical effect, shorter operative time, less pain, faster postoperative recovery, and fewer postoperative complications.
