Abstract:Objective:To investigate the relationship between level of serum connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)and fibronectin 1(FN1)and prognosis of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods:Eighty pa-tients benign prostatic hyperplasia patients who accepted transurethral bipolar plasma kinetic prostatectomy(TUPKP)from January 2020 to September 2021 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided in-to favorable prognosis group(n=56)and bad prognosis group(n=24)according to their prognosis. The general da-tas,serum levels of CTGF and FN1,urodynamic parameters[maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)],maximum uri-nary closure pressure(MUCP),residual urine volume(RUV),bladder compliance(BC)preoperative and postopera-tive 7 d were compared between the two groups. The predictive value of serum levels of CTGF and FN1 for the prog-nosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia was analyzed. Results:The levels of serum CTGF,FN1 and PSA in bad prog-nosis group were obviously higher than that of favorable prognosis group at 7 days after operation(P<0.05).The pro-portion of preoperative catheterization,≥90 minutes surgical time and≥7 days catheter indwelling and IPSS score in bad prognosis group were higher than those of favorable prognosis group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was obvious positive correlation between serum level of CTGF,FN1 and PSA in benign prostatic hyperplasia(r=0.432,r=0.376,P<0.001).Serum leve of lCTGF was positively correlated with the level of FN1(r =0.538,P<0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum of CTGF,FN1,PSA,preoperative catheterization, surgical time, postoperative catheter indwelling time,IPSS score were influencing factors for bad prognosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia(P<0.05).The AUC of serum CTGF and FN1 for combined predicting prognosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia was 0.974,the sensitivity was 91.67%,and the specificity was 94.64%,which was superior to single prediction(Z=1.968,P=0.042;Z=2.185,P=0.029).Conclusion:The serum levels of CTGF and FN1 at 7 days after operation in bad prognosis group were higher than those of favorable prognosis group, combined detection of the two can better evaluate prognosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
