Abstract:Objective:To explore the middle-term and long-term follow-up effects of retroperitoneal laparo-scopic pyelolithotomy(RLP)in the treatment of renal pelvis calculi.Methods:Eighty-two patients with renal pel-vis calculi treated in our hospital during the period from February 2014 to October 2015 were selected as the sub-jects.According to different treatment methods, the patients were divided into control group[treated by percuta-neous nephrolithotomy(PCNL),n=40]and study group(treated by RLP,n=42).Operation associated indica-tors and the clinical curative effect were compared between the two groups.Changes in renal function[blood urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine clearance rate(Ccr),24 h urine protein quantitation]in the two groups before and af-ter operation were observed, and the incidence of long-term complications was compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The intrao-perative blood loss, length of hospital stay and postoperative blood transfusion rate in the study group were signifi-cantly less/shorter/lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the total treatment effec-tive rate in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group(88.10% vs.70.00%)(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in BUN,24 h urinary protein quantitation and Ccr between the two groups before operation(P>0.05).After operation,BUN and 24 h urinary protein quantitation were increased significantly while Ccr was decreased significantly only in the control group, and changes in the indexes were more obvious in the control group than in the study group(P<0.05).The incidence of long-term complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(28.57% vs.50.00%)(P<0.05).Conclu-sions:Compared with PCNL,RLP has the advantages of small trauma, fast recovery, good middle-term operation effects, few complications and little damage to renal function in the treatment of renal pelvis calculi.
