Abstract:Objective:To establish the experimental canine unstable bladder models, and evaluate the feasibility of minimally invasive transurethral operationtreatment for detrusor instabilityin urodynamics. Methods:The canine unstablebladder model was established.Three months after removing bladder outlet obstruction, transurethral plasmakinetic electroresection was done to cut the bladder detrusor discontinuously and transversely under intrave-nous anesthesia. The maximum detrusor pressure (MDP),maximum bladder capacity (MCC),and maximum bladder compliance (MBC)were tested preoperatively and postoperatively. Results:The canine models of unstable bladder wereestablished successfully in 7 animals. The MDP,MCC and MBC at 3rdmonth after transurethral plas-makinetic electroresectionwere significantly increased. Conclusions:Transurethral plasmakinetic electroresection can improve bladder function in dogs with bladder outlet obstruction, and the feasibilityneeds be confirmed by lar-ger samples.
