Genitofemoral nerves injury in laparoscopic varicocele ligation (Report of 4 cases)

Abstract:Objective: To discuss the measures to avoid the genitofemoral nerves injury in laparoscopic varicocele ligation.Methods: All patients received laparoscopic varicocele ligation through transperitoneal approach with Triport technology.Results: The genitofemoral nerves injury occurred in 4 cases with different degrees, and followed up for 3-10 months after operation.The main clinical features include numbness, pain in inner thigh skin and abated cremasteric reflex.The symptoms disappeared gradually though observation and neural nutrition medicine.Conclusions: Improper opertion caused the genitofemoral nerves injury, and neural nutrition medicine is an effective way to treat it after operation.
