Abstract：Objective :To study the diagnosis and treat ment of multil ocular cystic renal cell carci no ma .Methods :The cli nical data of manifestati ons ,Diagnosis ,Surgical approaches and Pathol ogy of 26 cases with multil ocular cystic renal cell carci no ma treated fro m January 2008 to February 201 4 were anal yzed retrospecti vel y .Results :Postopera-ti ve pathol ogical exa mi nati on of all 26 cases sho wed multil ocular cystic renal cell carci no ma .Open surgery for 4 cases (laparoscopic surgery with open surgery converti on for 2 cases ),mi ni mall y i nvasi ve surgery for 22 cases (laparo-scopic surgery for 4 cases ,retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery for 1 7 cases ,robot assisted laparoscopic surgery for 1 case );partial nephrecto my for 1 4 cases ,radical nephrecto my for 1 2 cases .All of the 26 cases were foll o wed up .The mean foll o w-up peri od is 43.8 months ,there was no recurrence or metastasis observed .Conclusions :Multil ocular cystic renal cell carci no ma is characterized as l o wer mali gnant potential with a favorable prognosis .I magi ng plays an i mportant role i n the earl y diagnosis of cystic renal cell carci no ma .Surgery is the preferred treat ment for multil ocular cystic renal cell carci no ma .
