Abstract:Objective :To i nvesti gate the safety and feasi bility of robotic-assisted li vi ng donor (RALD )nephrec-to my .Methods :With the use of Da Vi nci robotic surgical syste m,2 donors under went RALD nephrecto mies i n our i nstituti on .Results :The operati on was perfor med successfull y i n the 2 patients without conversi on to open surgery . The operati ve mean ti me was 80 mi n (not i ncl udi ng preoperati ve set-up ti me of Da Vi nci surgical syste m about 28 mi n ).The bl ood l oss was about 50 mL .The war mische mia ti me was 3 mi n .The uri ne output was pro mpt i n the 2 cases withi n 1 mi n .Reci pient creati ni ne was nor mal withi n 1 week ,without any syndro me or renal dysfuncti on .Do-nor hospital stay was 5-6 days after operati on ,without any syndro me or renal dysfuncti on .Conclusions :The RALD nephrecto my is safe and feasi ble ,with dissecti ng meticul ousl y and preventi ng proble matic bleedi ng more easil y .
