Eval uation of greenlight photoselective vaporization of prostate for the treat ment of recurrent patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia

Abstract:To summarize the effect and safety of 80 Wphotoselective vaporization (PVP)of the pros-tate for the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia after TURP .Methods :Atotal of 39 patients after TURP under-went PVP .We summarized the operation time ,effect and complication retrospectively .Results :All procedures were successfully performed by one operation.The average operation time was 47 min .No cases needed blood transfusi on , and all patients had no electrolyte disturbance .The postoperativeind welling catheterization time was (46.5 ±1 7.2) h .The IPSS ,QOL ,and Q max were significantly improved postoeratively as compared with those preoperatively .Con-clusions :The PVP is effective and safety ,and had less complications .It can be used as an ideal method in the treat-ment of recurrent BPH .
