Abstract：To evaluate the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic bilateral simultaneous adrenalecto my for the treatment of the bilateral adrenal tumors .Methods :In this study ,17 cases of bilateral adrenal tumors under-went laparoscopic bilateral simultaneous adrenalecto my .The preoperative characteristics ,the outcomes and compli-cations were analyzed .Results :Three cases received bilateral total adrenalecto my ,7 cases received bilateral partial adrenalecto my ,and 7 cases received total adrenalecto my in one side and partial adrenalecto my in the opposite side . The average operating duration was 136 min (range :105 to 185 min ),average blood loss was 125 mL (88-260 mL) and average postoperative hospital length of stay was 7 days (range :5-8 days ).Wound infection occurred in one case .Three patients subject to bilateral total adrenalecto my were given postoperative life long steroid replacement . During an average follow- up period of 16 months (range :3-36 months ),all cases were cured .Conclusions :Laparo-scopic bilateral simultaneous adrenalecto my is safe and effective for the treatment of bilateral adrenal tumors .
