Abstract：Objective:To explore the method and clinical efficacy of plas makinetic resection of the prostate (PKRP)intreating benigh prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).Methods:Atotal of 53 cases of BPH were treated with PKRP at our institution and the clinical data were retrospectively analyzed .Results:All operations were successfully carriedout.There werenotransfusionandrectalinjurycases.Fourpatients,sufferingfrommildincontinencepost-operatively,recovered1 weekto1 monthlater.After1to6 monthfollowup,manyparameterssuchasIPSS, QOL,Qmaxandresidual urinevolume wereimprovedsignificantlyascompared withthosepreoperation.Conclusions:Inviewofthehighsafety,lesscomplicationsandexacttreatmentefficacyofPKRP,itdeservesclinicalapplicationin the treat ment of BPH.
