Abstract:Objective:To assess the efficacy of transurethral resection of bladder neck to treat 21 female patients with bladder neck obstruction .Methods:Twenty-one females with bladder obstruction under went transurethral resec-tion of bladder neck.Mean age was (49 ±11 )years ,disease course was 5 months-3 years ,urine flowrate was 3 .5-10.7 mL/s,and meanfollow-uptime wasover6-10 months.Results:Thevoidingsymptomscore,maximumurinary flowrate and residual urine volume were all significantlyi mproved after operation.No urinaryincontinence and urine leakageoccurred.Conclusions:Transurethralresectionofbladderneckisagoodchoiceinfemalepatients withbladder neck obstruction and has less co mplications .
