Immunohistochemical Study on Endothelial Cells in Human Dental Pulp with Normal and Carious Teeth
Abstract:Objective:To observe the response of endothelial cells to the stimuli of dentinal tubule-derived caries during the development of caries. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was performed with anti-vWF as the marker of endothelial cells in normal and carious dental pulp. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the positive vessels was carried out. Results: The number of vWF-positive vessel increased in dental pulp of the carious teeth, and there was a significant difference between dentinal carious groups and the normal group (P <0.01). Conclusion:Endothelial cell plays an important role in hemostasis and repair of dental pulp.
