Antenatal Diagnosis of Placental Abruption Clinical Analysis of 23 Cases
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the manifestation of placental abruption and the significance of ultrasonography examination.
Methods:The clinical data of 23 patients with placental abruption treated in our hospital from 1993 to 1999 were analyzed
retrospectively. Results:Perinatal morbidity and mortality were 52.17 % and 39.13 % respectively. Postpartum haemorrhage
rate was 43.47% ,antenatal diagnosis rate was 47.83%, and ultrasonography diagnosis rate was 23.81%. The common
clinical features of placental abruption were vaginal haemorrhage and fetal distress. Conclusion: The diagnosis of placental ab
ruption depends on not only ultrasonography but also manifestation and history.
