Abstract:Objective:To assess the effect of intravenous thrombolytic therapy in different period of acute myocardial infarction
(AMI). Methods:QT dispersion were measured in 38 AMI patients with successful thrombolytic therapy and 42 AMI pa
tients without thrombolytic therapy exactly at admission, and 1,7,14, and 21 days after admission. Results: There was no
significant difference of QT dispersion between thrombolytic and non-thrombolytic treatment groups immediately after ad
mission (P>0.05), and there was a significant difference of QT dispersion 1,7,14, and 21 days after admission between
two groups (P<0.05 ). Conclusion: QT dispersion can be significantly decreased by successful intravenous thrombolytic
therapy in patients with AMI.
