Preliminary Study on Interventional Treatment of Intractable Lung Tuberculosis Cavity with "Transbronchial Tuberculosis Cavity Plugging"
Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of the treatment of lung intractable tuberculosis cavity with "transbronchial tuberculosis cavity plugging (TTCP)". Methods:Twentyseven cavities of 24 patients underwent TTCP treatment with antiphthisicgels formed by macromolecular organic matter. Results:The negative result rate of sputum was 83.3 %, and the cavity closure rate was 25.9% six months after treatment. Conclusion: TTCP is a safe, simple, and effective method in treating intrac-table lung tuberculosis cavity.
