The Underlying Logic,Practical Constraints and Implementation Paths for the High-Quality Development of Vocational Education in the Context of Building an Education Powerhouse

Abstract：Vocational education serves as a crucial pillar and powerful support for building a great modern socialist nation.In the context of building an education powerhouse,the underlying logic of the high-quality development of vocational education is reflected in three dimensions:the political dimension adheres to the educational philosophy of putting people first and fostering virtue through education;the economic dimension focuses on promoting the high-quality development of economy and society;the educational dimension emphasizes talent cultivation and the innovation of education and teaching.Currently,the high-quality development of vocational education is still confronted with multiple practical challenges:the cultivation and supply of talents are difficult to match the needs of economic and social development;the disconnect in industry-education integration hinders the collaborative interaction between vocational education and industries;the lack of digital resilience restricts the process of digital transformation in vocational education;and the insufficiency in international exchanges and cooperation impairs the pace of educational internationalization.To overcome these challenges,efforts need to be made in five aspects:to strengthen connotative development through the reform of talent cultivation and evaluation;to create a new pattern of in-depth industry-education integration with the goal of building a shared future;to drive the transformation of digital technologies through the integration of education and research;to expand international exchange and cooperation via internal and external interactions;and to advocate cultural confidence and consciousness through upholding fundamental principles and promoting innovation.
