Design and Verification of a Remote Video Monitoring System for Modern Security

Abstract：This paper designs and implements a remote video monitoring system based on Linux for modern security.This design builds a video acquisition source based on Linux operating system,takes Raspberry Pie 3 development board as the video acquisition core,encodes and compresses the collected video through H.264,and transmits it to the client through TCP network protocol.The client then decodes the received video stream into YUV420 encoded video stream and plays the video.System testing and analysis indicate that the lower the output bit rate of the video stream,the higher the compression rate;When the output bit rate is the same and the B frame is 1,the compression rate is higher.
