On Promoting Students’ Awareness of Engineering Application and Motivation

Abstract：This paper discusses the promotion of students’ awareness of engineering application by virtue of a case study of teaching automobile design course and conducts a further research into engineering application-oriented teaching content and its assessment. It also proposes to establish a motivation mode which combines students’ interest, the assessment of their performances and their potential careers in the future in an effort to integrate students’ learning and practice, or theory and practice, promoting their professional knowledge and skills.
