Research and Practice of an Optimization Method Based on FDD LTE Network

Abstract：Addressing the problem of low download speed and low throughput rate in the FDD LTE network, this paper proposes an optimization method for the present FDD LTE network by measuring RSRP value and SINR value which influence the network coverage and the quality of LTE network and by further analyzing the major causes. This paper takes the optimization method of FDD LTE network in Beilun District, Ningbo City as a case study. With the help of Huawei network optimization test analysis software, problems are discovered and analyzed and accordingly the cellular engineering parameters, and the antenna’s azimuth and tilt angles are adjusted; new base stations are increased. In this way the network gets optimized. The comparison of the real measurements of RSRP value and SINR value before and after the optimization indicates that the method effectively lifts up the throughput rate in Beilun District which suffered an overall downturn decrease as well as the FTP download speed.
