Technologies of Activation-reduction of Electro-less Silver Coating on Terylene

Abstract：The processes of activation / reduction by [Ag(NH3)2]+ / C6H12O6 with different values of pH are carried out to optimize the amount of Ag and concentration of glucose.The pH values are to change the effective concentration of [Ag(NH3)2]+,which decrease the effective concentration of [Ag(NH3)2]+ under pH=10~12. pH=12~14 are to maintain the high effective concentrations of [Ag(NH3)2]+ in solutions for activation / reduction. It is concluded that the optimal condition in this test is Ag amount of 1.5 mg/m2 and glucose concentration of 8.0 g/L to reduce the cost of electro-less silver coating and effect the environment-friendly treatment.
