Online Course Development Based on Open Source Platform Moodle

Abstract：Moodle is an excellent open source online course management platform from Australia.As an ideal solution of online course development,it can accelerate online course development process for universities in mainland China.This paper introduces the features,installation and configuration of Moodle,then realizes the online deployment work for core courses in Department of Communication engineering,Jiangsu University using Moodle.We also integrate an open source online video conference system,namely BigBlueButton,to provide remote video teaching.The present work can provide reference for domestic online course development.
