Abstract：The new four-corner coding Chinese input scheme 2012 is an upgrading one based on the input scheme and corresponding keyboard design developed in 2002.The new one retains Chinese encoding rules of 2002 version and slight adjustments have been made to the first-grade short codes of 100 high frequency characters.The additional ten Arabic numbers from 0 to 9 representing ten strokes typical of traditional characters are encoded into ten English letters"M,A,S,D,F,G,H,J,K,L"respectively in this scheme.It is also regulated that a traditional character is represented by 4 codes,and a traditional phrase by 5 codes.
