Analysis on Polarization Mode Dispersion of Single Mode Fibers ＆ Chains Based on Real Test
Abstract：The polarization mode dispersion（PMD） of optical fibers is one of the important factors that constrain high rates and long distance communication.Based on real test of PMD of each fiber and linked chains for three reels of 24 fibers cable,and calculating their statistic average value for each chain,a conclusion is obtained that PMD＇s statistic average value is very close to real test value for each chain.It is a very useful conclusion for optical chain design.
