Abstract:The occurrence of colorectal cancer(CRC)is closely related to the imbalance of gut microbiota. The author of this article, based on the theory of"evil Elimination and righteousness restoration",analogizes the dynamic balance between probiotics and pathogenic bacteria as the microscopic manifestation of"the struggle between evil and righteousness".Pathogenic bacteria accelerate carcinogenesis through pro-inflammatory microenvironments, while probiotics inhibit tumors through immune regulation and other mechanisms.Traditional Chinese Medicine can restore the balance of the microbiota through the synergy of multiple components.Traditional Chinese Medicine formulas can inhibit the carcinogenic pathways of the microbiota, such as reducing the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, promoting the colonization of probiotics, and repairing the intestinal barrier. The author of this article focuses on demonstrating that Traditional Chinese Medicine and its formulas do not simply act on a single strain but follow the therapeutic principle of"supporting righteousness and eliminating evil",regulating the structure and function of the microbiota through multiple components and multiple targets, and restoring the intestinal microecological homeostasis, which to a certain extent promotes the application of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the precise intervention of CRC.
