Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of progressive balance and coordination training after total hip arthroplasty(THA)in the elderly. Methods From May 2022 to May 2025,102 elderly patients with THA admitted to Hebi People's Hospital were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. The control group patients received postoperative routine rehabilitation training, while the observation group patients received postoperative progressive balance and coordination training. The lower limb motor function, hip joint function, fall risk and nursing satisfaction of the two groups before and after the intervention were compared. Results After 8 weeks of intervention, the Fugl-Meyer lower limb motor function assessment scale(FMA-LE)score and Harris hip joint score(HHS)of the observation group patients were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);4 weeks and 8 weeks after the intervention, the scores of the Tinetti balance and gait scale(TPOM)of the observation group patients were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the total nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group patients was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In elderly patients with THA,actively conducting progressive balance and coordination training after surgery can not only effectively improve the hip joint function of patients, but also reduce the fall risk after surgery, promote the reconstruction of lower limb motor function, and improve nursing satisfaction.
