Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of amboxol and clenbuterol combined with azithromycin sequential therapy in the treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods A total of 80 children with MPP admitted to Xiping County People's Hospital from August 2022 to February 2025 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups of children were given routine treatment. The children in the control group received azithromycin sequential therapy, and the children in the observation group were treated in addition with amboxol and clenbuterol. The clinical symptom improvement time and hospitalization time, serum inflammatory factor levels before and after treatment, lung function, and adverse reactions of the two groups of children were compared. Results The clinical symptom relief time and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-6,C-reactive protein, and interferon-γ in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the maximum expiratory flow rate, forced vital capacity, and forced expiratory volume in the first second were higher than those in the control group. The above differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of children(P>0.05).Conclusion For children with MPP,combined use of amboxol and clenbuterol on the basis of azithromycin sequential therapy can shorten the clinical symptom improvement time and hospitalization time, reduce the inflammatory response of children, improve lung function, and does not significantly increase adverse reactions.
