Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of combined treatment with two drugs on left ventricular remodeling and prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 90 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to Anyang People's Hospital from March 2023 to October 2024.They were divided into a control group(treated with metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets)and an observation group(treated with sacubitril/valsartan sodium tablets in addition to the control group),with 45 cases in each group. The left ventricular remodeling indicators, vascular endothelial function, neuroendocrine hormone indicators, and adverse reactions before and after treatment were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group. The left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)of both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the index of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)and nitric oxide(NO)in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the indexes of the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The level of endothelin(ET)in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the index of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of various neuroendocrine hormone indicators in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment, and the improvement in the observation group was more significant(P<0.05).The comparison of the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic heart failure, the combined treatment with the above two drugs can effectively inhibit the process of ventricular remodeling, regulate the levels of neuroendocrine hormone indicators, and improve vascular endothelial function. Moreover,it shows good safety in clinical application.
