Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of modified Xiaoqinglong Decoction combined with antibacterial drugs in the treatment of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods The research subjects were 92 patients with AECOPD admitted to the Mianchi County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to June 2023.They were grouped into a control group and an observation group using the random number table method, with 46 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received treatment with antibacterial drugs alone, while those in the observation group received treatment with antibacterial drugs combined with modified Xiaoqinglong Decoction. The therapeutic effects of the two groups of patients were compared,as well as the blood gas analysis indicators, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores, lung function,inflammation-related indicators before and after treatment, and the occurrence of adverse reactions. Results After the treatment, the total effective rate of treatment and partial pressure of oxygen in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the score of coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, excessive phlegm, white and thin phlegm, partial pressure of carbon dioxide, levels of serum interleukin-6,C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor-α were lower than those in the control group. The peak values of forced respiratory volume in the first second, forced vital capacity and expiratory flow were greater than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).No aduerse reautions occurred in either group of patients. Conclusion The modified Xiaoqinglong Decoction combined with antibacterial drugs can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of AECOPD patients, improve blood gas analysis indicators, reduce inflammatory responses, enhance lung function, and does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
