Visual Analysis of Research Hotspots and Trends of Prescription Drugs from 2000 to 2025

Abstract：Objective To conduct a visual analysis of domestic research on prescription drugs using bibliometric methods,revealing the research hotspots and development trends in the field of prescription drugs from 2000 to 2025.Methods Relevant research literature on prescription drugs included in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)from January 1,2000 to May 1,2025 was retrieved.Author collaboration analysis,institutional collaboration network construction,keyword co-occurrence mining,cluster analysis,timeline analysis,and burst detection were conducted using CiteSpace 6.2.R5 software to comprehensively analyze the research progress of prescription drugs.Results A total of 810 Chinese-language articles were included after screening.The number of publications fluctuated in phases due to policy and technological influences.A collaborative network of institutions was formed with China Pharmaceutical University and the National Medical Products Administration at the core,but both author and institutional collaborations were relatively loose.Research hotspots focused on the classified management of prescription drugs,risk prevention and control in the circulation field,and innovative regulatory models.The evolution of keywords reflected three-stage characteristics:from basic management to risk prevention and control,and then to the innovation of"Internet+prescription drugs".Conclusion Future research on prescription drugs will strengthen the application of interdisciplinary methods,focusing on directions such as artificial intelligence-enabled smart supervision,optimization of the"Internet+prescription drugs"model,and blockchain technology for traceability,promoting research towards intelligence and precision.
