Meta-analysis of the Efficacy and Safety of Tongxinluo Capsules in the Treatment of Coronary Slow Flow

Abstract：Objective Meta-analysis was used to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tongxinluo Capsules in the treatment of coronary slow flow(CSF).Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCT)on the combination of Tongxinluo capsules and conventional Western medicine for the treatment of CSF were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP,WanFang,China Biology Medicine Disc(CBM),PubMed,EMbase,and Cochrane Library databases from their establishment to December 31,2024.Two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and evaluated the risk of bias in the included studies.Meta-analysis was conducted using"RevMan 5.3"software.Results A total of 11 RCT involving 840 patients were included.The Meta-analysis results showed that compared with conventional Western medicine alone,the combination of Tongxinluo capsules and conventional Western medicine could further increase the total clinical effective rate[relative risk(RR)=1.61,95%CI:1.44-1.81,P<0.01],improve coronary blood flow velocity[mean difference(MD)=-9.21,95%CI:-12.88--5.54,P<0.01],increase adiponectin(APN)levels(MD=2.42,95%CI:2.22-2.62,P<0.01),and reduce serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)levels(MD=-1.35,95%CI:-1.49--1.21,P<0.01).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(RR=1.07,95%CI:0.32-3.51,P=0.92).Conclusion The current evidence suggests that the combination of Tongxinluo capsules and conventional Western medicine is more effective in the treatment of CSF than conventional Western medicine alone,without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions.
