Abstract:Objective Given the alarming increase in the detection rate of suspected scoliosis among teenagers in China with grade, this study aims to evaluate the satisfaction and actual demand for spinal health science popularization education in schools. Methods From October 2024 to June 2025,a cross-sectional survey was conducted among students from 10 primary and secondary schools who participated in the spinal health science popularization activities organized by the spinal health center of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital.A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed, and 582 valid questionnaires were retrieved(response rate:97.00%),and the data were analyzed from the aspects of basic information, satisfaction and acceptance of science popularization lectures, preferences for forms and content demands, behavioral intentions, and multiple logistic regression. Results The study found that the overall acceptance and satisfaction with spinal health science popularization education were high(92.10%"very welcome",88.32%"very understandable").Regarding the preference for lecture forms, there were significant statistical differences among students of different grades(P<0.001).83.19%of primary school students preferred more intuitive and interesting forms such as"interactive games"and"video teaching",while 76.54%of middle and high school students preferred more interactive and analytical forms such as"group discussions"and"case analyses".89.00%of the students expressed that they were"very willing"to share the knowledge they learned about spinal health with their families or friends,Among them, the proportion of primary school students was 92.33%,significantly higher than that of junior and senior high school students, which was 84.36%(P<0.01).86.77%of the students indicated that they paid more attention to their spinal health after participating in this science popularization activity. The results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the understandability of the content, the interactivity of the form, and the grade level were independent influencing factors for students'willingness to share knowledge(P<0.05).Conclusion This study confirmed that the grade-based spinal health science popularization strategy is highly feasible and effective.Future science popularization efforts should continue to promote differentiated education based on student needs, enhance the interactivity and practicality of the content, and build a more precise and efficient spinal health education system.
