Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors affecting the compliance of functional exercises after lumbar fusion surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 100 patients with lumbar disc herniation who underwent lumbar fusion surgery at Pingdingshan First People's Hospital from October 2022 to October 2024.The patients were divided into a good compliance group(64 cases)and a poor compliance group(36 cases)based on their compliance with treatment three months after surgery.General data and various scores of the two groups were compared, and single-factor analysis was performed on the items with significant differences. Then,a multivariate Logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the risk factors affecting the compliance of functional exercises after lumbar fusion surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Results The proportion of patients with an educational level of junior high school or below,Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores(JOA)for Low Back Pain, and Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia(TSK)scores in the poor compliance group were all higher than those in the good compliance group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that educational level of junior high school or below,ODI,JOA,and TSK scores all affected the compliance of functional exercises after lumbar fusion surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation(all P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis confirmed that ODI,JOA,and TSK scores could predict the compliance of functional exercises after lumbar fusion surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation, with areas under the curve(AUC)of 0.933,0.920,and 0.877,respectively(all P<0.05).Conclusion Educational level,ODI score,JOA score, and TSK score all affect the compliance of functional exercises after lumbar fusion surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation.Targeted postoperative functional exercise plans can be developed based on these factors to improve compliance.
