Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)combined with sertraline and agomelatine in the treatment of patients with depression complicated with sleep disorders. Methods A total of 82 patients with depression complicated with sleep disorders admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from May 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 41 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with sertraline combined with agomelatine, while patients in the observation group were treated with MBSR on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, depression severity, sleep quality, and neurotransmitter levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.68%,which was higher than 73.17%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of the self-rating depression scale(SDS)and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the levels of serum norepinephrine(NE)and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of MBSR,sertraline, and agomelatine in the treatment of patients with depression complicated with sleep disorders has a significant clinical effect, which can effectively alleviate the severity of depression, improve sleep quality, and enhance neurological function.
