Abstract:Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection among entry-exit populations at Zhuhai port from January 2020 to December 2024,and propose corresponding prevention and control strategies. Methods HCV test data of entry-exit populations at Zhuhai Port from 2020 to 2024 were collected, including age, gender, nationality, and occupation, analyzed using descriptive epidemiological methods. Results A total of 77 652 entry-exit populations were tested, with 452 HCV infection were detected. The HCV infection rate showed significant differences across gender, age, and occupation:males had a higher carrier rate than females; The positivity rate is highest in the age group of 40 to 59 years old, followed by the age group of 60 to 84 years old,and lowest in the age group of 3 to 19 years old. Conclusion Based on the epidemiological characteristics of HCV infection among entry-exit populations at Zhuhai port, targeted prevention and control strategies should be implemented to effectively curb the cross-border transmission of HCV.
