Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of outpatient process reengineering synergistically driven by intelligent technology and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)characteristics on outpatient service efficiency and patient experience. Methods A multi-source data retrospective comparative analysis was conducted.Core indicators, including outpatient visits, the proportion of outpatients using TCM non-pharmacological therapies, the percentage of medical institution-based Chinese medicine preparations usage, average patient waiting time, and medical staff and patient satisfaction, were quantitatively studied before and after process reengineering. Results Outpatient visits increased by 11.73%.TCM-specific service metrics improved significantly:the proportion of outpatients receiving non-pharmacological TCM therapies rose from 15.17%to 19.09%(P<0.05),and the utilization rate of TCM preparations increased from 5.24%to 6.02%(P<0.05).The average patient waiting time decreased from(27.12±2.89)minutes to(19.53±1.56)minutes(P<0.001).Patient satisfaction showed an upward trend but lacked statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion Process reengineering synergistically driven by intelligent technology and TCM characteristics effectively enhanced outpatient service efficiency and capacity. However, further improvements in satisfaction require optimizing human-machine collaborative workflows and strengthening humanistic care. This study provides a replicable practical pathway for integrating TCM with information technology.
