Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors of calcul-related events(residue, recurrence, obstructive urinary tract infection, reoperation, etc)in patients with hydronephrosis accompanied by ureteral calculi after ureteroscopy treatment. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with hydronephrosis and ureteral calculi who underwent ureteroscopy in Xuchang People's Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were retrospectively selected. All patients were followed up for 1 year.According to whether stone-related events occurred during the follow-up period, they were divided into an observation group(occurred)and a control group(did not occur). All preoperative relevant clinical data, pathological data, surgical data of the patients were collected.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze the related risk factors of calcul-related events in patients with hydronephrosis and ureteral calculi after ureteroscopy treatment. Results Among 86 patients with hydronephrosis accompanied by ureteral calculi,31 cases had calcul-related events after the operation, with an incidence rate of 36.05%.There were significant differences in age, stone location, stone quantity, maximum stone diameter and stone composition between the observation group and the control group(P<0.05).The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age≥60 years old, upper ureteral calculi, multiple calculi, maximum stone diameter≥2 cm,stone composition being calcium oxalate/calcium phosphate, and the maximum residual stone fragment after surgery≥4 mm were all risk factors for postoperative calcul-related events in patients with hydronephrosis and ureteral calculi(P<0.05).Conclusion Stone-related events after ureteroscopy with hydronephrosis and ureteral calculi are associated with age≥60 years old, upper ureteral calculi, multiple calculi, maximum stone diameter≥2 cm,stone composition being calcium oxalate/calcium phosphate, and the maximum residual stone fragment after surgery≥4 mm.Clinically, due to the high attention to the above risk factors, targeted intervention measures have been formulated.
