Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of early rehabilitation training combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)on the motor and language function development of children with developmental delay. Methods A total of 110 children with developmental delay who were treated at the First People's Hospital of Zhumadian from January 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a combined group and a rehabilitation training group, with 55 cases in each group.Children in the rehabilitation training group received early rehabilitation training, while those in the combined group received rTMS intervention on this basis. The motor function, muscle tone, language function, and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared before and after the intervention in both groups. Results After the intervention, the scores of the combined group in the lying and turning(A)area, sitting(B)area, crawling and kneeling(C)area, walking and running(E)area, and the total score of the gross motor function measure-88(GMFM-88)were all higher than those of the rehabilitation training group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After the intervention, the muscle tone of the combined group was better than that of the rehabilitation training group, with a statistically significant difference(Z=2.132,P<0.05).After the intervention, the proportion of children with normal scores in the combined group in the symbol and object relationship, basic processes, and attitude towards daily communication was higher than that of the rehabilitation training group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of early rehabilitation training combined with rTMS can effectively promote the recovery of motor function and language development in children with developmental delay, and improve muscle tone.
