Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of"Six-step Spinal Correction Method"on the prevention and treatment of adolescent scoliosis. Methods A total of 120 adolescent scoliosis patients admitted to Jiyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received conventional rehabilitation training, while the observation group received"Six-step Spinal Correction Method"on the basis of the control group. The Cobb angle, spinal rotation angle(ATR),and surface electromyography(EMG)signals of the erector spinae muscle before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the Cobb angle and ATR of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the average rectified EMG value(AEMG)of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the paraspinal muscle symmetry index(PMSI)was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion"Six-step Spinal Correction Method"can effectively correct adolescent scoliosis, reduce the Cobb angle, correct spinal rotation, and improve the surface EMG signals of the erector spinae muscle.
