Clinical Study on the Treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with PD-1/PD-L1 Inhibitors Combined with GP Chemotherapy Regimen

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of programmed death factor-1(PD-1)/programmed death factor ligand-1(PD-L1)inhibitors combined with gemcitabine plus cisplatin(GP)regimen in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods A total of 68 patients with NSCLC of squamous cell carcinoma type admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research subjects and divided into a chemotherapy group and a combination group,with 34 cases in each group.Patients in the chemotherapy group received the GP chemotherapy regimen,while patients in the combination group received PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab for immunotherapy in addition to the chemotherapy regimen of the chemotherapy group.The clinical efficacy,improvement in quality of life,occurrence of adverse reactions and survival of the two groups were compared.Results The disease response rate and disease control rate of the combination group were higher than those of the chemotherapy group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement rate of quality of life in the combination group was higher than that in the chemotherapy group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The progression-free survival of the combination group was higher than that of the chemotherapy group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The 3-year disease-free survival rate of the combination group was higher than that of the chemotherapy group(χ2=4.031,P=0.045).Conclusion The combination of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors and GP chemotherapy can achieve more ideal short-term efficacy,and can also prolong the survival time of patients to a certain extent without increasing adverse reactions.
