Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of erythromycin combined with bifonazole cream in the treatment of mixed skin and mucosal ulcerative infections caused by Streptococcus and Candida albicans. Methods A total of 123 patients with mixed skin and mucosal infections caused by Streptococcus and Candida albicans admitted to the 988th Hospital of Joint Logistic Support Force from February 2021 to February 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group(61 cases)and a control group(62 cases)based on the computer-generated random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with erythromycin and ketoconazole cream, while those in the experimental group were treated with erythromycin cream and bifonazole cream. The clinical efficacy, clearance rate of strains within 3 days, improvement of skin condition[dermatology life quality index(DLQI)],serum inflammatory markers[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)concentration],and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the clearance rate of strains within 3 days in the experimental group was 86.89%(53/61),which was higher than 70.97%(44/62)in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);after treatment, the DLQI score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);after treatment, the levels of serum CRP and IL-6 in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of erythromycin and bifonazole cream is effective in treating mixed skin and mucosal ulcerative infections caused by Streptococcus and Candida albicans, can effective clear the strains, improve skin condition, reduce serum CRP and IL-6 levels, and does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
