Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of early pregnancy medical nutrition therapy(MNT)on blood glucose and lipid levels in high-risk pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods A total of 92 high-risk pregnant women with GDM admitted to Zhengzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research subjects and divided into an observation group and a control group according to the admission time, with 46 cases in each group. The control group received routine health guidance, while the observation group received early pregnancy MNT on the basis of the control group. The blood glucose and lipid levels, the occurrence of complications and pregnancy outcomes of the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results After intervention, the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2h PG)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after intervention, the levels of serum total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and triglycerides(TG)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of GDM in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the rate of cesarean section in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early pregnancy MNT for high-risk pregnant women with GDM can regulate blood glucose and lipid levels, reduce the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus and the rate of cesarean section.
