Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyze the correlation between quality of life and pain coping styles in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH)and its influencing factors. Methods A total of 146 LDH patients admitted to Luoyang New Milestone Hospital from November 2021 to September 2024 were selected as the research subjects. The Chinese version of the coping style questionnaire(CSQ)and the quality of life scale for patiwnts with degenexative spine disease(QLS-DSD)were used to investigate the pain coping styles and quality of life of the patients. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between quality of life and pain coping styles. The patients were then divided into a high-quality group(80 cases)and a low-quality group(66 cases)based on the QLS-DSD scores.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of quality of life in LDH patients, and countermeasures were explored. Results The Pearson correlation results showed that the scores of distraction, brave confrontation, prayer, and ignoring pain in the CSQ of LDH patients were negatively correlated with the scores of each dimension and the total score of the QLS-DSD(P<0.05);the scores of helplessness and pain avoidance in the CSQ were positively correlated with the scores of each dimension and the total score of the QLS-DSD(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the composition ratios of patients with different genders, ages, educational levels, monthly family incomes, and scores of visual analogue scale(VAS),Oswestry disability index(ODI),patient health questionnaire-9(PHQ-9),and generalized anxiety disorder-7(GAD-7)(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that VAS,ODI,PHQ-9,and GAD-7 were risk factors for low quality of life in LDH patients(P<0.05),while educational level and monthly family income were protective factors(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a correlation between pain coping styles and quality of life in LDH patients.Pain, lumbar function, mental health, educational level, and economic status are the main influencing factors.Clinical nursing should enhance patients'awareness of pain, implement graded nursing measures for patients with different severity levels, strengthen psychological intervention, and formulate practical nursing plans based on educational level and family economic status to improve the long-term quality of life of patients.
