Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of arbidol combined with kaihoujian spray in the treatment of hand-foot-mouth disease. Methods A total of 100 children with acute hand-foot-mouth disease admitted to Dongguan Qiaotou Hospital from April 2023 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups received symptomatic basic treatment after admission. The control group was treated with interferon α1b ultrasonic nebulization inhalation, while the observation group was treated with arbidol combined with kaihoujian spray. The regression time of clinical symptoms(fever, oral ulcers, skin blisters),degree of oral pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)score],laboratory indicators[high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)]levels and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The time for fever, oral ulcers and skin blisters to disappear in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS score in both groups was lower than that before treatment, and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of serum hs-CRP and peripheral blood WBC between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum hs-CRP and peripheral blood WBC in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the levels of serum hs-CRP and peripheral blood WBC in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.00%,which was lower than 14.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Arbidol combined with kaihoujian spray can rapidly alleviate the clinical symptoms of children with hand-foot-mouth disease, relieve oral pain, improve laboratory indicators, and has fewer adverse reactions.
