Clinical Effect of Platelet-rich Plasma Combined with Jintiange Capsules in the Treatment of Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of platelet-rich plasma(PRP)combined with Jintiange capsules on serum inflammatory factor levels,bone metabolism indicators,and clinical efficacy in patients with knee osteoarthritis.Methods A total of 98 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to Dushan Campus of Nanyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2022 to April 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group by double-blind method,with 49 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with PRP,while those in the experimental group were treated with PRP combined with Jintiange capsules.The clinical efficacy,bone metabolism indicators[osteopontin(OPN),matrix metalloproteinase-3(MMP-3)],serum inflammatory factor levels[interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),and C-reactive protein(CRP)],and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of synovial fluid MMP-3 and OPN in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of serum IL-1β,IL-6,and CRP in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of PRP and Jintiange capsules has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,which is beneficial to reducing the inflammatory response of patients,improving bone metabolism indicators,and has good safety.
