Abstract:Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of self-harm behavior in adolescents with emotional disorders. Methods Data of 96 adolescents with emotional disorders from January 2020 to September 2023 in Sanshui District People's Hospital of Foshan City were collected. The patients were divided into self-harm behavior group and non-self-harm behavior group based on whether they had self-harm behavior.General information and conditions such as internet addiction of the two groups were compared, and items with statistically significant differences were screened.Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the influencing factors of self-harm behavior in adolescents with emotional disorders. Results Among the 96 adolescents with emotional disorders,56 cases(58.33%)had self-harm behavior and 40 cases(41.67%)did not.Univariate analysis showed that comorbid depression, experiencing school bullying, poor family relationship, high academic pressure, childhood abuse, and internet addiction were related to self-harm behavior in adolescents with emotional disorders, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Age,disease duration, gender, grade, school boarding, place of residence, parents'education level, whether they were only children, parents'marital status, and left-behind experience were not related to self-harm behavior, with no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that comorbid depression(β=1.975,OR=7.206,95%CI=2.895-17.935),experiencing school bullying(β=1.678,OR=5.353,95%CI=2.211-12.960),poor family relationship(β=1.094,OR=2.985,95%CI=1.203-7.410),high academic pressure(β=2.058,OR=7.833,95%CI=3.020-20.321),childhood abuse(β=1.836,OR=6.273,95%CI=1.962-20.052),and internet addiction(β=2.536,OR=12.630,95%CI=4.745-33.613)were high-risk factors for self-harm behavior in adolescents with emotional disorders, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The proportion of self-harm behavior in adolescents with emotional disorders is relatively high, and it is influenced by multiple factors such as comorbid depression, experiencing school bullying, family relationship, academic pressure, childhood abuse, and internet addiction.
