Abstract:Objective Exploring the correlation and clinical significance of serum cystatin C(Cys-C),leucine zipper motif 1(APPL1),platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)levels with the severity of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection in patients with cirrhosis. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on the clinical data of 120 HBV patients who visited Puyang People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023.According to the severity of their condition, they were divided into a cirrhosis group of 67 cases and a hepatitis group of 53 cases. At the same time,60 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the normal control group. The serum levels of Cys-C,APPL1,and PDGF were compared in three groups of study subjects, and the serum levels and correlations of Cys-C,APPL1,and PDGF were compared in patients with different Child Pugh grades and liver fibrosis degrees in the cirrhosis group. Results The serum levels of Cys-C,APPL1,and PDGF in patients with cirrhosis were higher than those in the hepatitis group and the normal control group, showing a decreasing trend, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The levels of serum Cys-C,APPL1,and PDGF in patients with severe liver fibrosis were higher than those in moderate and mild cases, and showed a decreasing trend, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The serum levels of Cys-C,APPL1,and PDGF in Child Pugh grade C patients were higher than those in grade B and grade A,and grade B was higher than grade A,with statistical significance(P<0.05);the levels of serum Cys-C,APPL1,PDGF were positively correlated with the degree of liver fibrosis and Child-Pugh grade in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of Cys-C,APPL1 and PDGF in serum of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis are significantly increased, which is closely related to the degree of liver fibrosis and Child-Pugh grade.Clinical detection of their levels is helpful to judge the degree of disease and has positive significance in clinical work.
