Potential Profile Analysis of Recurrence Fear Characteristics and Influencing Factors in Patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To analyze the potential profile of recurrence fear in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and explore its influencing factors.Methods A total of 176 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2022 to November 2024 were selected as the research subjects.A general information survey and a simplified fear of disease progression scale were used to investigate and analyze nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients,and the influencing factors were analyzed.Results The total score of the simplified fear of disease progression scale in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients was(32.53±7.95).The recurrence fear of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients included low fear group(28.4%),medium fear group(42.0%)and high fear group(29.5%).Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,family per capita monthly income,course of disease,tumor stage and recurrence status were all factors influencing the recurrence fear category of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.Conclusion The fear of recurrence in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients is at a moderate level,and the types of fear of recurrence are heterogeneous.Gender,per capita monthly family income,course of disease,tumor stage and recurrence status are all influencing factors for the types of fear of recurrence in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.Medical staffshould make individualized intervention plan according to the recurrence fear of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients of different categories and its influencing factors.
